India: Most people prefer to travel on trains, here now train travel from the railway stations is likely to become expensive from nowadays because passengers will have to pay on the lines of airports.
Due to this Pandemic Situation, The National transporter will soon collect railway tickets as well as user development fee (UDF) at major railway stations, according to the report.
The Railway Minister Piyush Goyal is expected to come out with a notification for the station user fees by this year December 2020.
This system will be applicable when big railway stations will be equipped with all modern facilities under the redevelopment project. The operation of the redevelopment project will start soon at commercial stations.
Commercial major stations expected to be covered under the redevelopment project are Jaipur, Nagpur, Mumbai, Habibganj, Chandigarh, Bijwasan, and Anand Vihar.
