Indian Railways:- Indian Railways on this Sunday (August 16, 2020) said that it has generated more than 5.5 lakh railway jobs, men days of work under Gareeb Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyan mainly in 6 states Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.
Till August 14, 2020, around 11296 daily wages worker has been engaged in this Abhiyaan and the payment of Rs. 1336.84 crores have been released to the contractor for the project to be implemented.

Around 165 Railway infrastructure projects are being executed in these six states it was around worth Rs. 2988 crores.
Now Railway has also appointed nodal officers in each and every district as well as in the states so that close coordination is established with the State Government.
Piyush Goyal Minister of Railways has directed the Railway administration at a zonal level to act proactively so that to ensure migrants are engaged in every project and paid accordingly.
Railway Jobs
Railways have distributed many various types of railway works which are been executed under this scheme.
The Works that are distributed are related to the construction and maintenance of approach roads for level crossings, development and cleaning of silted waterways, trenches, and drains along with the tracks, construction, and maintenance of railway stations repair and widening of existing Railway embankments/ cuttings/bridges.
Narendra Modi Ji launches the Gareeb Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan to empower and provide Indian people with opportunities in different areas and villages witnessing a large number of migrant workers affected by the devastating COVID-19.
Also, Narendra Modi Ji announced that an amount of Rs 50,000 crore would be spent for building durable ruler infrastructure under the Gareeb Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan.
