West Bengal: Keeping the coronavirus cases in mind, west Bengal government TMC Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee extended the state lockdown till November 30 by keeping the same guidelines of the central government.
Though for the last seven months West Bengal government did not allow the colleges and schools to reopen. Central Government new order, followed by the state government state that teaching-learning, colleges, universities, physical assemblies in schools will continue to be disclosed.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that cinema halls theatres and multiplex will operate with 50% capacity and local train by 10% and not only that swimming pools except training of sport will remain closed.
In the new rule, indoor space parties will be allowed with 50% of the hall capacity and it will be allowed with a ceiling of 200 people. And for an outdoor event in open space, the number of people will be fixed as per the size and space of the assembly.
Academic, Political, Cultural and Social functions will be allowed outside the containment zones after taking the permission from the local police station.
The news comes when the state reported the highest single-day recovery of 4,053 Covid-19 patients, taking the total number of those cured to 3,33,990.
State Government also register there are more than 59 coronavirus death cases since Saturday, pushing the total number to 6,900. The total number rose to 3,77,651 with 3,987 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.
