Here, West Bengal Transport Corporation recently launch a river cruise for just Rs 39 sounds unbelievable, but yes in Kolkata it is possible as here the transportation cost of vehicles is very less compared to other states of our country. WBTC decided to launch a premium cruise just for the price to give tourists and local visitors, rides on the Ganges which will make memorable experiences of viewing the heritage of our city.

By hearing the price most people get shocked, they say that compared to other countries it’s not even a dollar for a 90 minutes cruise all over the Ganges. West Bengal government after seeing the London river cruise, river Mandovi in Goa, and Singapore boat ride is am attracting people from all walks of life.
Along with the cruise, many landmarks and Hidden gems of the city of Kolkata will be launched on October 1st.
West Bengal Transport Corporation director Rajanvir Singh Kapur said our idea was to make a heritage river cruise experience for all, it should be affordable and popular among people from all age groups.
During the ride of The cruise, the guest will enjoy the views of the Ganges and ll see Ma Sarada, Mayer Ghat, wife of Ramkrishna Paramhansa, they will also enjoy Ganga Aarti on the banks of river Ganga after sunset.
On the Cruise, they will be e light music playing in the background on the whistle so that the guest will enjoy a ride every minute in the heritage and history of Kolkata which reflects the electric spirit of the city of joy.
Rajanvir Singh Kapur also said that this cruise will be operated on a no-profit basis by the west Bengal government-run transport corporations.
Which are the places The cruise will visit?
The crews will visit the Eastern Railway headquarters Nimtala ghat, Armenian ghat, and Chandpal ghat which comes into being in 1952.
From Millennium park the cruise will be operated on weekdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. On holidays or on Saturday and Sunday it will be operated only at noon 2:00 p.m. 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
This offer is applicable for all while taking the safety precautions first. These days when we go to have an afternoon meal somehow we have to spend Rs 50 but here WBTC offers the ride for Rs 39 only.
On the cruise we will get a free onboard tour guide, there will be Cruise Cafe where one or two can buy tea, coffee, and snacks to enjoy while having fun seeing the beautiful views.
For couples, there will be a selfie booth drinking water in the washroom and many more in Cruise.
Rajanvir Singh Kapur also said that he will arrange special booking arrangements for an educational tour in the future, which will be done by WBTC.
Keeping in mind the cruise has proper sanitization and will follow safety precautions, not more than 150 people are allowed in one writes for maintaining social distancing norms.
